  1. I am a 33 y/o canadian born rocker living in the us for the last 8 years. I'm not suprised that most canadian music is vertualy unheard of south of the border, seeing as how most americans know little to nothing about their neibours to th north.
With the exception of Rush, Bryan Adams, and a handfull of odd songs by various canadian artists I have heard nothing on the radio or found very little to choose from in music stores.
After living here for 8 years it has become difficult to remember all the bands I grew up listening to.
    (Thank god for the internet).
Bands like the persuit of happiness, 54/40, the northern pikes, sloan, honeymoon suite, barney bentall, the age of electric, I mother earth,(wow too many to mention) have all made an impact on my life in one way or another and are truly missed.
I used this site as a refferance and found more music that I have lived without for far too long.
Thank you and thank canadians for doing their rock n roll duty:-P

  2. nice list! what was the source? or what was the criteria? or is it just personal preference? it's curious there's no saga, loverboy, ian thomas, aldo nova, toronto, stampeders, etc. etc.

not a complaint, just wondering. i'm an american obsessed with canadian radio rock of yesteryear, this list has hipped me to a few i hadn't yet checked out (54-40, streetheart). thanks!
